Patsy Cline to return to Tyrone

Once again the big, belty sounds of some of America’s most popular and classic country music will return to Tyrone.
With the help of a live country band, a backup group of male singers and one of Patsy’s friends to handle the narrative, A CLOSER WALK WITH PATSY CLINE will take you inside the megastar\’s journey to join the top level of American music icons.
A new and different script from the TCP’s last offering, Always, Patsy Cline, this production will show you a different side of Patsy, narrated from an entirely different perspective and filled with the fantastic music that made her a star.
Auditions for this energetic, rhythmic show will be held on Monday and Tuesday, June 25 and 26 at 7 p.m. in The Building, home of the Tyrone Community Players at 1019 Logan Ave. The cast consists of one woman, Patsy, with a huge, belty alto/second soprano voice, her male friend and DJ as she travels who requires a baritone voice and can handle lots of dialogue. The show is rounded out by Patsy’s backup singers, a group like The Jordinaires, which is comprised of four men, one first and second tenor, a baritone and bass who will be taught to move like the groups of that era.
If you are interested in auditioning you must come with a prepared vocal audition and music in the correct key. An accompanist will be present. Cold readings from the script will also be done. Perusal scripts are available by phoning Ramona at the ArtsLine at 684-ART2.
A CLOSER WALK WITH PATSY CLINE will be presented in dinner theater at The Elks Lodge on August 10 and 11 and at The Casino in Lakemont on August 3.
