Senior Citizens Day at Reservoir Park set for June 7

Next Thursday, June 7, is Senior Citizens Day at Reservoir Park.
Beginning at 10 a.m., seniors from the Tyrone area, along with their family and friends, are invited to take a “Stroll in the Park”.
Individuals can relax around pavilion one or take a walk around the park.
The event is informal and participants are invited to come and go as they please. There will be special gifts for seniors, as well as drawings for various prizes.
Entertainment will be provided by Kip Woodring on the guitar. Also, a free lunch will be served.
This special day has been set aside for seniors to get together and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the park and the community.
Last year’s Stroll in the Park was a huge success. The event provides a chance to take the time to gather with old friends and acquaintances while enjoying the scenery and admiring the good work done by the borough and volunteers who keep the park in such great shape.
And remember, everything is free.
This can be a really great day if special effort is made to provide transportation for those who have none. So, as Thursday approaches, invite someone who needs a ride.
The Blair Senior Services van will provide transportation to and from the park. To reserve the van or get more information, call 1-800-458-5555. The special price for seniors is $1 round trip.
