Cub Scout Pack 320 holds annual Blue and Gold Banquet

Tyrone Cub Scout Pack 320 held its annual Blue And Gold Banquet in the social hall of the Church of the Good Shepherd on Sunday afternoon, April 22.
Cubmaster Ron Osborne welcomed everyone in attendance and introduced members of Boy Scout Troop 20 who opened the evening with the Philmont Grace. Guest speaker State Senator John H. Eichelberger Jr. and honored guest State Representative Jerry Stern attended the event. Senator Eichelberger praised the scouts for their accomplishments and had a few scouting stories from his own experience to share with the group. After dinner, the Boy Scouts judged cakes the Cub Scouts had baked and decorated with help from their adult partner.
Den Leader Harry Mogle began the awards presentation by recognizing the individual scouts that had completed all the requirements for various special awards which included the Good Turn for America Award, World Conservation Award, Leave No Trace Awareness Award, the Emergency Preparedness Award, and the Silver United States Heritage Award.
Cub scouts Ryan Cox, Jesse Branstetter, Caleb Hammond, Aaron Mogle, and Dakota Lucas were presented with the Boy Scouts Religious Knot Emblem for completion of specific requirements of the God and Country Program.
Den leaders Linda Branstetter, Ron Powell, Harry Mogle, Jay Robertson and Cubmaster Ron Osborne presented the following rank advancements: Tiger Badge- Ben Branstetter, Jonathan Clifton, and Ryan Vance. Wolf Badge- Michael Cherry, Matthew Fink, AJ Grassi, and Jonathan Powell. Bear Badge- John Chronister, Tristan Day, Draven Fisher, Dakota Lucas, Donovan Oswalt, Collin Rhoades, and Andrew Tyler. Webelos Badge- Andrew Bartos, Gared Dixon, Tyler Goddard, Caleb Hammond, Jacob Makdad, and Aaron Mogle.
Jesse Branstetter and Ryan Cox were presented with Cub Scouting’s highest award- the Arrow of Light Award. The two also received the Webelos Super Achiever Award for earning all twenty activity badges before the Arrow of Light Award. Jesse and Ryan will continue their scouting career with Boy Scout Troop 20.
