Mary Kathryn Price Reynolds

Mrs. Mary Kathryn Price Reynolds, a former Tyrone resident, died Sunday, February 18, 2007 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born July 19, 1924 in Tyrone, the daughter of Paul G. and Gwen VanScoyoc Price. On June 29, 1946 she was married to Norman K. Reynolds of Altoona who died in 2003 ending a marriage of 57 years. She is survived by a daughter Linda, wife of Pete Polete of Murphysboro, IL, a son Ken and wife Karen Reynolds of Oklahoma City, OK and granddaughters Julie Reames of Alexandria, VA; Courtney, wife of Eddie Allbritton of Keller, Texas; Kerry, wife of Jay St. John of Piedmont, OK and Kelli, wife of Fouad Chihab of Edmond, OK, one brother, Dick Price and wife Sally of Lancaster, PA, two sisters-in-law, Barbara Reynolds of State College and Adelene Price of Tyrone. Also surviving are six great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a brother, W. Paul Price.
Mrs. Reynolds was a graduate of Tyrone High School Class of 1943 and attended Indiana State College. Mary loved life, dancing, spring flowers and sunshine. She never met a stranger and enjoyed her many friends and family. Her stories about Tyrone friends, swimming at the Quarry, and dancing at Reservoir Park were all still a huge part of her cherished memories at the time of her death.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at Hahn-Cook-Street and Draper Funeral Home in Oklahoma City followed by graveside services at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland, TX on Friday, February 23 at 1 p.m.
