Another successful Powder Puff game

The Powder Puff game was held last evening at Gray-Veterans Memorial Field.
The Tyrone Area High School senior girls faced the junior girls in this annual flag football game.
The final score of the Powder Puff game was Seniors 6 and Juniors 6.
Some of the standouts in the game were seniors, Kim Cherry and Ashley Pennabaker and juniors, Kayla Corle and Kassie Faretta, according to Elks Representative, Gary McGovern.
Despite the rain, attendance was great. McGovern said there were approximately 1,000 persons in attendance.
The proceeds from the game benefit the Ellenberger Scholarship Fund as well as a variety of Tyrone Elks youth activities including the Youth Recognition Banquet.
The Elks wishes to thank the school board for their support of this event as well as Dr. Miller and the administration. The Elks also extends a “thank-you” to Tom Coleman and Shelly Chronister in the athletic department.
A special thanks goes out to John Franco for allowing his Golden Eagle players to participate as coaches.
