Yuletyme Tyrone Christmas Celebration scheduled

Everyone is invited to join in the 8th Annual Yuletyme Tyrone Christmas Celebration kickoff, which is the Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting in front of the post office.
On Friday, December 1 the parade committee welcomes and encourages everyone to participate individually or as a group. Simply call Rose Black, parade chairperson, at the Chamber (684-0736 or home 684-0949) with any questions.
Also, individuals may fill out and mail a form to the Tyrone Christmas Parade Committee, 1004 Logan Avenue, Tyrone as soon as possible. If your group will be playing music or reading, please make a note on the form so the committee does not place you next to another musical group.
If there is extremely bad weather or a football playoff game, the date of the parade will change to Saturday, December 2 at 10 a.m.
Parade line-up will be on Lincoln Avenue from 15th Street by the Highway Department back towards 20th Street from 5:30 to 6 p.m.
The parade will start promptly at 6:15 p.m. and will proceed through the regular parade route and disband at the Armory for cookies provided by the Tyrone Women’s Club, hot chocolate by Joshua Hose and a visit with Santa.
