Two killed in Snyder Township accident

Two people were killed in a two-vehicle accident on State Route 220 in Snyder Township yesterday at 2:30 p.m.
State police said a car driven by 27-year-old Amy J. Wentworth was southbound on State Route 220 when she lost control of the vehicle. The car traveled sideways southbound in the middle of the road.
A vehicle driven by 29-year-old Kimberly D. Wolstencroft was northbound on 220 and was unable to avoid impact with the other car.
The vehicles collided, with Wolstencroft’s vehicle hitting the left side of the other car.
Wentworth and the passenger in the car, her daughter Holly Joy Wentworth, 13-months-old, of Belle Vernon were both killed. Police said the driver was wearing a seatbelt, and the child was in a safety seat.
Wolstencroft was transported to Altoona Regional Medical Center for treatment in the trauma unit. She was not wearing a seat belt.
