Lewistown plays turnabout with Tyrone Lady Eagles

The Tyrone girls volleyball team made the long trip to Lewistown on Wednesday evening. The journey was even longer coming back after the Lady Panthers claimed their first win of the season by defeating the Tyrone girls in three straight games.
Lewistown returned the favor to the Lady Eagles, after the Tyrone girls had defeated Lewistown in five games to win their first match of the year on Sept. 19.
Lewistown (1-12) won 25-16, 25-12 and 25-22 for their first triumph after 12 losses.
Cassy Zimmerman had nine service points and seven assists in a losing cause for the Lady Eagles. The Lewistown junior varsity won 25-10, 25-16.
The Tyrone girls (1-11) will host Bellefonte on Monday beginning with the junior varsity match at 6 p.m. in the Tyrone Area Elementary gymnasium.
