Tyrone Junior High Lady Eagles fall to BEA

Tyrone's Junior High girls were no match for the Lady Eagles from Bald Eagle Area. Playing mostly ninth graders, BEA outmanned the Tyrone team and won rather handily 51-18.
Tyrone playing mostly seventh graders was led again by Casey Baird who had six points and Ashley Ford with four points.
The Bald Eagle Area girls scored early and often and raced to a 31-12 halftime lead and Tyrone never recovered.
With point guard Olivia Stever sidelined with a thumb injury and Ford and Ariane Miller in foul trouble, the Lady Eagles would never recover.
Tyrone is now 2-7 and face Philipsburg-Osceola at home on Wednesday at 3:15 p.m.
Tyrone's "B" team won its fifth in a row winning by just one point in a contest that was a nailbiter from wire to wire.
Casey Baird and Ashley Ford scored Tyrone 's only points with Baird accumulating 14.
