B-A girls outscored

The Bellwood-Antis junior high girls basketball team traveled to Claysburg on Thursday to play the Claysburg-Kimmel junior high. Claysburg evened their record at 1-1 with a 27-16 win over the Little Lady Blue Devils.
Ronnette Claar outscored the Bellwood-Antis girls with a game-high 17 points to lead the hosts to the win.
Bellwood-Antis, which falls to 1-2 on the season, was led by Ashley Hamer with seven points and Brooke McVicker with five points, for first-year coach Erin Johnson.
The Bellwood-Antis junior high girls will host the Tyrone junior high on Monday, Sept. 18 and Moshannon Valley on Tuesday Sept. 19. The Tyrone game will tip-off at 4 p.m. and the Mo Valley game at 3:45 p.m.
