Upcoming Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce events scheduled

The Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce is busy planning many upcoming events for the community.
Tomorrow, two special ribbon cutting events are scheduled.
First, there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce office located on Logan Avenue for CM IT Solutions of PA. The event is planned for 11:30 a.m. CM IT Solutions of Central Pennsylvania is owned by Mark Zabitz.
Also, tomorrow the Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours is scheduled and will be hosted by Comfort Keepers.
There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at 5 p.m. followed by a reception and networking from 5:15 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Comfort Keepers is now located at 1057 Pennsylvania Avenue, one of over 400 locations throughout the United States. Comfort Keepers is locally owned and operated by W. David Hellyer and Terri L. Breindell.
Other upcoming events include:
• Monday, Sept. 4 – the Tyrone Area Community Labor Day Picnic at Reservoir Park. The event will feature land and water games, bingo, food, prizes, a 50/50 and entertainment. The picnic is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.;
• Thursday, Sept. 14 – “An Evening with the Arts” will be held at the Tyrone-Snyder Public Library, Burley’s Restaurant and Gardners Ice Cream Parlor. The event will run from 6 to 9:30 p.m. and will feature food and art;
• Thursday, Sept. 21- The Tyrone Area Chamber Annual Golf Tournament will be held at Sinking Valley Country Club;
• Saturday, Sept. 30 – The Rotary Farm/City Day is scheduled at Reservoir Park. The event features crafts and display vendors, entertainment, food, wagon rides and a live petting zoo. Hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and
• Thursday, Oct. 19 – The Business Expo and Career Fair with Business After Hours and tour at the Tyrone Area Middle School.
