Summer Reading Program now finished

This year’s Summer Reading Program, “Paws, Claws, Scales & Tales” at the Tyrone-Snyder Public Library is finished for another season.
The library reports having 113 children registered, and 58 completed the reading requirements.
A total of 1,430 books were read. The last two programs held were “Scrap That Pet”, a scrapbooking event conducted by Mary Jane Rudakewich and “Virtual Pet Show”, a pet picture show, which was preceded by a talk from Dr. Philip Aquadro on pet care.
The closing Awards Program was held Thursday, August 10 at 6:30 p.m. at which the reading certificates and prizes were handed out.
Luke Guenot and Kate Bock have been given prizes for reading the most books and Taylor, Sarah and Emma Hoover have been given prizes for the family reading the most books.
Also, Rodney Meek of Arrowzhome Taxidermy had a display of animals in the library. This year has been the best attended Summer Reading Program ever.
