Tyrone-Snyder Public Library announces summer reading program

Get ready to read! The Tyrone-Snyder Public Library has just announced its 2006 Summer Reading Program – Paws, Claws, Scales and Tales, beginning June 26.
Registration will be held at the library from noon to 5 p.m. The program is open to young readers from pre-school age through 8th grade. Prizes will be awarded for books read. Two categories of readers include the “Read-To-Me” group, pre-school through kindergarten. This group has two goals during the six weeks of the program: 15 books entitles them to a free book; 30 books wins a prize. The “Reader” group, first through 8th grade, earns a free book after reading three books and a prize after reading six books. All those who complete a reading log will receive Benzel’s pretzel tins and will be entered in the prize drawing to be held at the end of the program.
