Several summer events planned at Grace Baptist Church

Grace Baptist Church has several special events planned throughout the summer, beginning with Vacation Bible School, which runs from Sunday, June 25 through Thursday, June 29.
The class is for children ages four-years-old to fifth grade (going into sixth grade) and will be held each evening from 6 to 8:15 p.m.
Parents are welcome and encouraged to be a part of each night’s activities and Thursday night will be parents’ night with an exciting closing program from 8 to 8:30 p.m.
This year’s theme is “Where’s the Treasure” Bible exploration.
Participants will enjoy spending time with each other while learning through great songs, unique puppets and funny skits. Kids will also make wonderful crafts that they will ‘treasure’ for a long time to come.
There will be fun games and sweet snacks, along with many ‘treasure’ prizes the kids can earn. Everyone will have a great time as they go on an adventure that will take them on the high seas to a deserted island, where they will encounter pirates in search of treasure. They will learn all about different treasures and also discover the abundant treasure that God offers through His son and His word.
Anyone with questions or who would like to register their children, call 684-5016. If there is no answer, please leave the child’s name, age and phone number on the answering machine.
Members of Grace Baptist will also travel to the Creation Music Festival on Friday, June 30 for a day filled with events, from concerts to guest speakers. Participants will leave Tyrone at 7 a.m. This trip is open to middle and high school students. The cost is $25. Call 684-5016 for more information.
On July 2, there will be two services at 8:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. so members can “Celebrate America”. The services will be filled with uplifting patriotic music from the Grace Sr. Choir, “Men of Grace” and other music selections from the “I Love America” musical.
Seventh through 12th graders are invited to attend summer camp at Word of Life Island, Schroon Lake, NY. Teens interested in attending this exciting summer camp should contact Youth Pastor, Nathan Van Prooyen, immediately by calling 684-5016.
For the younger kids, July 16 through July 22 will be King’s Kid’s Camp at Camp Kanesatake in Warriors Mark. This camp is for children in third through seventh grades. Parents interested in sending their child to this week of camp should contact Nathan Van Prooyen at 684-5016 immediately to make reservations.
