Seniors take to the stage Saturday for final performance

Six area seniors, Jill Hiller, Tiffany Williams, Courtney Russell, Kearstin Miller, Mary Raffetto, and Amy Liu will take to the stage tomorrow.
Dance Fusion will be holding its spring recital “Life is a dance, from one stage to the next” tomorrow at the Tyrone Area High School auditorium. For two long time dancing seniors, this will be a bittersweet performance.
Jill has been taking dance for 14 years. Her styles include ballet, tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, lyrical, Pointe and Modern. She has also been part of the competition team since its creation. She has come home with several gold medals for her solo performances. She has been a student assistant for nine years.
Jill is very involved in many extra curricular activities such as, student council, chorus, National Honor Society, Tri-M, and the Spanish Club. She has been involved with gymnastics for 16 years., winning many awards at the state level. She will be going to Mexico as an exchange student in the fall for a year and when she returns in 2007, she plans to attend Penn State University to study Secondary Education with an emphasis in History.
Tiffany has been dancing for eight years. She has taken Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Pointe, Modern, and her senior year, she decided to add Hip Hop to her repertoire. She has also participated in the competition team for the last five years. Dancing away with several gold, and silver medals for her outstanding solo performances. Tiffany was a student assistant at the studio this year helping with the younger girls. She graduated from Tyrone High School this June. She will be attending Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, Pa this fall, majoring in Baking and Pastry Arts.
Jill And Tiffany will be performing a lyrical duet to “Photograph” by Nickelback also their senior class song. Mary and Courtney will delight the audience by singing a duet, from the Broadway Musical “Wicked”. The seniors will be performing throughout the show, with all of the Dance Fusion students.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and showtime is 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $6 and will be available at the door. Students will show a wide variety of dance styles during the recital including: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Pointe, Lyrical and Modern.
