Fireworks display set for tomorrow night at Family Chill and Grill

Once again, the Family Chill and Grill will host its third annual fireworks display, along with the Bald Eagle Fire Department, tomorrow.
Festivities begin at 1 p.m. at the restaurant.
Besides the fireworks, individuals will also get a chance to see the fire department’s new, state-of-the-art fire truck.
Scott Illig said this celebration will provide an opportunity for everyone to see the new fire truck and for the fire company to express their thanks for the community’s support.
“This is our thank you to the community and the people who support us.”
There are many activities scheduled throughout the day including a “jumpers funhouse” for kids to enjoy from 6 to 9:30 p.m., free of charge.
DJ, Brian Heaton, will also be on site from 6 to 9:30 p.m. sharing music from the 60s, 70s and 80s through today’s hits.
There will be free handouts for kids and adults on fire prevention and safety.
Also, everyone is encouraged to take a shot at dunking the firemen in the dunk tank.
At 6 p.m., weather permitting, there will be a helicopter fly-over by STAT MEDVAC of Altoona.
Visitors can also enjoy hot dogs, drinks and chips for only $1 all day.
The half hour fireworks show will begin at 9:30 p.m.
The ice cream shop will close 15 minutes beforehand so employees can also enjoy the celebration.
Following the display, small chocolate, vanilla and twist cones will be $1.
Extra parking will be available at the Bald Eagle Grange. Bring a lawn chair and spend the night celebrating with friends and neighbors.
All proceeds benefit the Bald Eagle Fire Company.
