Tyrone Area Chamber announces winners of Curve coloring contest

In conjunction with the upcoming Tyrone Community Night at the Altoona Curve, the Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce sponsored a coloring contest for area children.
The contest was split into two age categories, five to eight-year-olds and nine to 12-year-olds. The coloring page appeared in recent editions of The Daily Herald as well as other venues.
The winners for the coloring contest, ages five to eight, first place, Sarah Wilson, who will receive two free game tickets, and second place, Aaron Lewis Jr., who will receive a Tyrone Community Night Curve T-shirt.
The winners for ages nine to 12, first place, Chad Miller, who will receive two free tickets, and second place, Simon Alexander Wilson, who will receive a Tyrone Community Night Curve T-shirt.
The third annual Tyrone Community Night at the Altoona Curve is scheduled for Saturday at 5:05 p.m., when the Altoona Curve takes on the Binghamton Mets.
All-Star ball caps will be given out to the first 2,000 fans, ages 15 and over.
Tickets are $5 and are available at the Chamber office or Gardners Candies. Children two and under enter the game for free.
Some of the entertainment scheduled for the evening includes pre-game entertainment, “God Bless America” sung by TAHS students, first pitch by Mayor Jim Kilmartin, between inning activities, birthday announcements and more.
Tyrone Community Night T-shirts are still available in small, medium, large and XL at $6 and 2XL at $7. The T-shirts are available at the Tyrone Area Chamber office.
