Resurfacing set to begin next week for Tyrone and Antis

PennDOT has announced that resurfacing work will begin on Monday, May 8 in Antis Township and Tyrone Borough.
Crews will upgrade shoulders and resurface approximately two miles of Route 4018 (Lower Riggles Gap Road). Work will begin at the intersection of Route 4018 and 764 and continue to the intersection with Route 4019 (River Road).
Work will resume near the Pinecroft Firehall and continue to the intersection with 4015 (Bellwood Road) in Riggles Gap.
The contractor will also mill and resurface an approximately one mile section of Route 4029 (Clay Avenue) in Tyrone Borough.
The construction zones will be one lane and will be flag person controlled. Motorists can expect some minor associated delays.
PennDOT said the contractor for the $694,788 project is New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co., Inc., of New Enterprise. The project is slated for a July completion.
