Memorial Day services scheduled

Tyrone American Legion Post No. 281 and the VFW Anderson-Denny Post No. 4559 have scheduled joint memorial services for Sunday, May 28 and Monday, May 29.
On Sunday, May 28 starting at 9 a.m., members of the veterans organizations and their auxiliaries will assemble at the Grazierville United Methodist Church. At 9:15 a.m., there will be a church service with Pastor Michele Sommerville officiating.
At 11:30 a.m., the American Legion Auxiliary will serve a luncheon at the American Legion home for all veterans and their auxiliary attending the memorial service.
At 1 p.m., there will be a memorial service at Baughman Cemetery, at 1:40 p.m. there will be a memorial service at Bald Eagle Cemetery, and at 2:30 p.m. there will be a memorial service at Tyrone Colonial Courtyard.
On Monday, May 29, veterans will meet at 8:15 a.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery. At 8:30 a.m., there will be memorial services at Oak Grove Cemetery.
At 11 a.m. there will be memorial services at Soldier’s Park.
The guest speaker will be Richard Coccimiglio, and the public is encouraged to attend.
Also, the Tyrone American Legion Post No. 281 will be honoring 21 members with 60 years consecutive membership (three posthumously) and five members with 50 consecutive years.
