CPHS and dog association to host rabies clinic in April

Pet owners are being invited to a special low-cost rabies clinic in April hosted by the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society and the Nittany Chapter North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association.
The event will take place at the CPHS shelter located at 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona from noon until 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 2.
The rabies vaccine shots will cost $10 and are good for one year. All pets must be on a leash or in a carrier. Dogs and cats will be vaccinated. Dog owners must provide proof of license, and dog licenses can be purchased on site.
The clinic will reserve the right to refuse vaccinating sick or aggressive pets.
No appointments are necessary, and the shots will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.
