Holiday bazaar scheduled to benefit Presbyterian Homes

Christmas is fast approaching and the Presbyterian Homes’ Auxiliary have a special day planned to help individuals get into the holiday spirit, while enjoying a fun day of shopping.
The Auxiliary will hold its annual holiday bazaar on Saturday, November 19 beginning at 9 a.m. in the seventh floor ballroom of the Presbyterian Homes’ Moshannon Heights facility at 200 East Presqueisle Street in Philipsburg.
There will be a variety of items for sale throughout the day including beautiful and unique handmade crafts, gift items and a white elephant booth. There will be plenty of food also, baked goods, candies, pumpkin rolls, and the Auxiliary’s homemade cheese balls.
The lunch menu will include sloppy joes, hot dogs, drinks, desserts and the Auxiliary’s ever-popular vegetable soup.
Sloppy joe mix and vegetable soup by the quart will also be available to take and enjoy at home.
As a special treat, Santa will once again make an appearance at the bazaar. He is scheduled to arrive at 11 a.m. and will be available for photos with kids of all ages.
The Presbyterian Homes’ Auxiliary holiday bazaar provides a great day for shopping, socializing and helps prepare individuals for the holiday season.
All proceeds from this event go directly to benefit the residents of the Presbyterian Homes.

According to a recent press release, Presbyterian Homes, in the Presbytery of Huntingdon, have been providing compassionate care for over 80 years to Central Pennsylvania’s older residents of all faiths.
The operations of five facilities are directed from the Management Services Office in Hollidaysburg. Locations include the Presbyterian Home of Hollidaysburg which was established in 1924, Moshannon Heights and Windy Hill Village in Philipsburg, Westminster Woods in Huntingdon and Woodland Retirement Center in Orbisonia. Short-term and long-term services offered include skilled nursing care, personal care, assisted living, rehabilitation and independent lifestyles.
