Antis supervisor dies

Robert W. Walker, 79, of RD 5 Tyrone died Saturday evening at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus.
He was serving as a supervisor for Antis Township where he had previously served as Board Chairman.
Walker was a graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School. He was formerly employed as an agriculture teacher at Hollidaysburg School District for 16 years.
He retired as a professor and teacher educator at the University of Illinois.
He was co-owner of Walker Tree Farm, Antis Township, along with his son, William, where he was involved with growing Christmas trees on the family farm.
