Camping group donates food to Tyrone Food Bank

The Pennsylvania Road Ramblers is a camping club that is associated with the National Good Sam Club.
They look forward to six campouts during the spring and summer. Three campouts are PA State Samborees and three are just the club itself.
Members are from Huntingdon, State College, Lancaster, Northampton, Port Matilda and Tyrone.
The group also helps others. They clean a state park in the spring, donate a monetary gift to the Dogs for the Deaf program, donate a monetary gift to the Christmas Carol program and each is assigned a can of food for each campout, to be given to a needy program.
Last year, the food was donated to the Huntingdon Salvation Army.
This year it is being given to the Tyrone Food Bank to help make up Christmas baskets.
The group is always accepting new members and anyone who would like to join or who would like more information may contact Gene Hardy, President, at 667-3839 or David and Dotty Diehl at 684-2276.
