B-A junior high girls knock off Mo Valley

The Bellwood-Antis junior high girls basketball team evened their season record at Houtzdale on Tuesday afternoon.
The Lady Blue Devils won their second straight ballgame to improve to 7-7 with the 38-18 triumph.
Emily Sinisi led the B-A girls with 14 points, Amanda Grannas scored eight points and Alycia Hippo added six points.
“We played a nice complete game today,” said Bellwood-Antis coach Chris Walker. “The defense continues to look good and we put the ball in the basket today. I\’ve been preaching to the girls that we need to play hard for all four quarters. We hadn\’t been doing that at times, but today was the second straight game that we did. Emily Sinisi really played well today. She got us off to a good start by scoring 12 of her 14 points in the first half. Amanda Grannas played well off the bench scoring eight points and she did a great job of rebounding. Our next two games are against Southern Huntingdon and Williamsburg. It will be a challenge, but we\’ll be able to measure how much we\’ve improved.
Vanessa Rowley led the Moshannon Valley girls with six points.
The Lady Blue Devils host Southern Huntingdon (currently 14-1) and travel to Williamsburg on Tuesday (12-1).
