Eagle JVs handle Lewistown 21-0

The Tyrone junior varsity football team made the long trip to Lewistown for a game on Monday evening.
The Little Eagles improved their record to 2-1 with a 21-0 win over the Panthers for coach Darren Elvey.
Shayne Tate scored on a 13-yard run and kicked three perfect placements to lead the Tyrone jayvees.
Josh Bradley ran in a score from three yards out in the first quarter.
Tyler Golden followed Tate’s second-quarter score with a 60-yard interception return for the final score of the game.
The Tyrone defense kept Lewistown out of the end zone to record their first shutout of the season.
The Golden Eagles will host Bald Eagle Area on Monday, Sept. 26, at 6 p.m. at Gray-Vets Memorial Field.
