Tyrone Community Partnership announces August dinner

It’s the time of year when farmers and gardeners begin to enjoy the benefits of their labors – and the folks at Tyrone Community Partnership are taking advantage of that bounty to bring the community another of their terrific dinners.
It’s called Summer’s Bounty, scheduled for Thursday, August 18 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Tyrone Social Center. Fresh fruit and vegetables are the highlight of this dinner.
The menu includes: fresh tomato salad, creamed garden cucumbers, buttered parsley new red potatoes, roasted fresh garden vegetables, corn on the cob, zucchini bread, 40-clove chicken, pork tenderloin with fruit salsa, and for dessert, fresh peach shortcake.
The advance price is $8 for adults; $4 for children. At the door, add a dollar to each. Tickets are available at the Social Center, the Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce office, Joybeans, Dollar Stretchers, Alice’s Garden and Open Door Visions.
