YMCA preschool program to be offered at TAES

The YMCA preschool program for children ages three to four-years-old will once again be offered at the Tyrone Area Elementary School, beginning in September.
According to a recent press release from the Hollidaysburg Area YMCA, “A caring staff will offer a structured program designed to develop cognitive skills.”
Participating youth will enjoy days filled with free play, social interactions and physical development time.
The YMCA Preschool’s press release stated children must be cared for in a stimulating, safe environment in which the child’s ideas, feelings and development are nurtured and guided by competent, caring staff.
Two sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, will be offered.
The morning session will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. Afternoon sessions are scheduled from noon until 2:45 p.m.
Children may be signed up to attend morning, afternoon or both sessions.
Before and after school care will also be provided by the YMCA.
The preschool and before and after school programs follow the 2005-06 Tyrone Area School District calendar.
Registration is now open for the 2005-06 school year. Complete information and tuition prices are available at the Hollidaysburg Area YMCA or YMCA Children’s Center.
