1968 B-A grad scheduled as guest speaker for ceremonies

A 1968 Bellwood-Antis graduate is scheduled to be the guest speaker at tonight’s commencement ceremonies for the B-A Class of 2005.
Dr. Leslie W. Roub, M.D., is scheduled to present a speech tonight just prior to the B-A seniors receiving their diplomas. Roub was born in Altoona in 1950 and attended school in the Bellwood-Antis district. Later, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Franklin & Marshall College in 1972. He earned his M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh in 1976 and stayed in Pittsburgh for his internship and residency in radiology.
He was certified by the American Board of Radiology in 1980.
Dr. Roub joined Radiology Professionals fresh out of residency in 1980 and has been with Rad Pro in Portland, ME ever since. He has served as president of the Maine Radiologic Society in 1988 and has been Chief of Radiology at Mercy Hospital and President of Radiology Professionals since 1994. He is a member of numerous professional societies including the American College of Radiology, Maine Radiological Society, and the Maine Medical Association.
Dr. Roub and his wife Deborah have been married for 31 years. His outside interests include travel, fishing and vintage automobile racing.
Bellwood-Antis commencement exercises are scheduled to start at 7 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.
