Tyrone police investigating Friday burglary

A reward of up to $2,000 is being offered to anyone supplying information that leads to the arrest of those responsible for burglarizing Phil’s Garage Friday evening.
Crime Solvers of Blair County is partnering with the Tyrone Borough Police Department to help figure out who broke a window at the 1261 Pennsylvania Avenue business then went inside and stole $120 in cash. Police said that several tools may be missing as well.
Police said this incident may be tied into other similar incidents that have occurred in the borough since January 2004. Chief Joseph Beachem told The Daily Herald that one such occurrence happened in January when someone broke into Captain Lou’s on Pennsylvania Avenue and removed a go-kart, air conditioner and several other items.
