Central PA Wolves extend Altoona to overtime in 1-0 loss

The Central PA Wolves played a game against the Altoona Mountain Lions Varsity Ice Hockey team on Thursday, Dec. 11 at Galactic Ice.
The contest was controlled by the goalies and defenses with neither squad yielding a point through the three regulation periods. Finally with just 10 seconds remaining on the clock in the first overtime, Tyler Emery scored for the Mountain Lions to give Altoona a 1-0 victory and send the Central PA Wolves to their third defeat to go with two wins for the young season.
The two goalies were nearly perfect as Altoona’s Luke Sackandy stopped 17 of 17 shots on goal by the Wolves and Fred Dorman (Bellwood-Antis) was good on all but one of 19 shots for the Central PA team.
The Wolves host the Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders at Galactic Ice on Thursday, Dec. 18 at 8:20 p.m. and travel to the Indiana Ice Center on Sunday, Dec. 20 for a 9:30 p.m. game against the Marion Center Stingers.
