Tyrone ninth graders fall to Huntingdon

The Tyrone ninth grade junior high girls basketball team dropped a 36-31 decision at Huntingdon on Thursday.
Elizabeth Tepsic talled 13 points and has five rebounds to lead the Lady Eagles (2-6) and Kayla Corle aded eight points.
“This was another example of not showing the talent I know we have,” said Tyrone coach Kerry Naylor. “The lead went back and forth in the fourth quarter, but we couldn’t put it together to be able to pull out a win. It’s frustrating. We need to take the positives from each game amd take some time to rethink what we want to do.”
The Tyrone seventh and eighth graders improved their record to 6-2 with a 21-16 win over their Huntingdon counterparts.
Sarah Halter fronted the Lady Eagles with 12 points and Lindsay Christine pulled down nine rebounds in a game that was nip and tuck throughout.
“Sarah made a lot of shots for us in pressure situations when the game was close,” said Naylor.
