Two Tyrone businesses honored by Blair County Chamber of Commerce

The Blair County Chamber of Commerce held its annual Business Hall of Fame awards ceremony and banquet Monday evening. Among those honored were businesses, social services and government agencies. Two Tyrone businesses received awards in two different categories.
Honored with a Community Service Award was Tyrone Hospital, Bon Secours-Holy Family Regional Health System, and the Hollidaysburg Area YMCA were also honored in the same category. An Innovation Award went to Reclamere of Tyrone, the firm that disposes of computers and resells usable components and hardware. Also honored in the same category was Digital Solutions Inc., and PENNDOT District 9.
The Excellence in Small Business Awards went to Fiore Furniture and the Overhead Door Co. Inc., which sells rolling steel doors and dock equipment. The Young Emerging Business Award went to Landi’s Bridal Elegance.
Other major award winners included Allegheny Lutheran Social Ministries, the Altoona Area School District, Cove Shoe Company and Imler’s Poultry.
The annual event was held at the Blair County Convention Center.
