B-A junior girls down Mo Valley

The Bellwood-Antis junior high girls basketball team hosted Moshannon Valley on Thursday afternoon.
The Lady Blue Devils improved to 8-3 on the year with a 31-22 triumph over Mo Valley.
Amanda Ingram netted a game-high eight points to lead the Lady Blue Devils and Ashley Lechner added seven points for B-A, Liz Erickson had six and Ashley McAlevy chipped in five.
“Amanda Ingram really stepped up on offense, she shot pretty well tonight” said Bellwood-Antis coach Steve Conlon. “And when we went to a man-to-man defnse in the second half, we put Lauren Lender on their best player and Lauren shut her down. Ashley McAlevy played solid “D” for us also. We have had quite a turnaround from last year and I hope we are able to continue through the rest of the season.”
Dipko and Kitko scored six and five points respectively for the Lady Damsels.
Bellwood-Antis is on the road for their next three contests, including a Tuesday game at Southern Huntingdon. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
