We watched film of our game last week with Bald Eagle Area and the girls got to take a look at the way they were playing for the first time. They were able to see they had a long way to go. Tonight they responded and really played hard. We think we are a team that has a lot of scorers. we are starting to play with a lot of confidence. When Steph and Kayla play like they did tonight, we are going to score a lot of points and win games.”
The seventh and eighth grade squad defeated the Lady Mounties 32-11 to improve to 2-1 on the season.
Ashley Shultz fronted the Tyrone girls with six points and eight steals. Teanna Kobuck led the team in scoring with seven points.
“Look for Teanna Kobuck in the near future,” said Naylor. “Her’s is a name you will hear, not only in girls’ basketball, but in other sports as well. Our seventh and eighth grade team works hard and is playing with confidence right now.”
