Two Bellwood-Antis seniors awarded Keystone FFA Degree

Angel Kelley and LaToya McClellan, both Future Farmers of America members at Bellwood-Antis High School, were recently given the Keystone FFA Degree Award at the state FFA Mid-Winter Convention, held at the PA Farm Show in Harrisburg.
This honor is presented to students showing outstanding agricultural project programs, FFA awards and participation, and scholastic and citizenship qualities over three years of FFA membership.
Angel is the daughter of Earnest and Judith Kelley of South First Street in Bellwood. Her FFA accomplishments include winning four gold medals in the state FFA Project Book competitions, and winning awards in the Blair County Mechanics and Land Judging contests.
She is currently serving as president of the Bellwood-Antis FFA chapter.
LaToya is the daughter of Tina McClellan of Tipton. She has won awards for three straight years in the county Land Judging contest and the past two years at the county Project Book competitions.
LaToya was appointed chair of two FFA committees and served as FFA chapter sentinel during her freshman and junior years.
A total of 251 FFA members from across the state received the Keystone FFA Degree on Jan. 13. Approximately three percent of the agriculture education students in Pennsylvania receive this award annually.
